After spending months indoors because of the pandemic, chances are, you’ve taken special notice of different aspects of your home. And, along with gaining a new appreciation for your space, you may have found that there are a few things you’d like to update. While buying new appliances and furniture can cost thousands of dollars, actually keeping your space clean can make just as big of a difference in your home. And a robot vacuum can help you maintain your floors without lifting a finger.

These bad boys have been around since the late 90s (shocking, we know). They are equipped to maneuver across a variety of different floors, sucking up all dirt and debris in their path and keeping things nice and tidy in between deeper cleans. The more recent models can be programmed to vacuum at specific times and some are even self-emptying—meaning even less work for you.

Our experts have tested the best robot vacuums and put them through the wringer (a.k.a. our very own robot vacuum maze) to determine suction, mobility, and how noisy these things actually are. The iRobot Roomba i7+ takes the prize of our favorite robot vacuum of all time, but there are other more affordable models we recommend as well. Aside from a plethora of robot vacuums to choose from, there are endless places to buy them. Using our expert recommendations, we narrowed down the 13 best places to buy robot vacuums and included our experts’ picks as well as specialty models, like robot vacuum mops and those designed for picking up pet hair.
