This comforter has been tested for temperature balance for a great night's sleep.

It really did keep me cool

I was shocked at just how effective the Cozy Bliss Cooling Comforter is. I’ve tried lots of sheets and comforters that claim to be temperature-regulating, but still made me hot, albeit at a slower pace than normal.

This comforter is super silky and feels ultralight on my skin, not making me feel trapped or suffocated as other blankets have. Because I was at a comfortable temperature as I was drifting off to sleep, I think I even fell asleep faster than normal, without waking up sweaty in the middle of the night. It claims to reduce skin temperature by 2ºC to 5ºC, and while I wasn’t measuring, I definitely felt the difference.

Its cooling effect also brings to mind the Breescape Cooling Sheet Set we recently tested and loved, so if you really sweat and freeze and sweat again while the sun is down, check these out, too.

Stitching makes it look more upscale

I want a comforter that actually looks like a comforter, not just a blanket, which I was worried about since the Cozy Bliss is very thin. It has a simple stitched pattern that adds a little bit of oomph and elevates it over a regular thin blanket.

Cozy Bliss offers the comforter in a wide variety of sizes and colors

When buying a comforter, obviously, you want it to fit your bed and existing decor. The Cozy Bliss comforter comes in 13 different sizes and 6 bed sizes, including Twin XL for college students and the roomy California King.

It folds very small for storage or moving

Because of the comforter's thin profile, it can be folded super small for storage or portability. Living in an apartment with little storage space, it easily fit in an under-the-bed unit or my tiny linen closet, which is no small feat for a queen-sized comforter.

What we didn’t like

It has a slight smell out of the package

This is nitpicky and can be fixed with a simple wash, but the fabric had a slight smell straight out of the package, not necessarily plasticky, but not quite like just fabric. Thankfully, it was gone after a single wash.

Wrinkles are inevitable

Because of the silky material's nature, wrinkles will always be present. For me, function matters more than appearance, but if you’re someone who cares about your bedroom always looking polished and unlived in, this might not be the comforter for you.

It’s made from synthetic materials

I try to prioritize buying natural fibers when possible, so I didn’t love that the Cozy Bliss comforter is 90% nylon and 10% spandex with a 100% polyester filling. That being said, I did try bamboo sheets and a cotton comforter, and they didn’t have enough of an impact on my sleep, so I’m fine with the fabric composition since it works so well.

Should you buy the Cozy Bliss Cooling Comforter?
