Working remotely for the first time? Your work office may be well-stocked with monitors, extra laptops, and even fancy standing desks, but if you're working from home for the first time, you may be using your iPad as a second monitor or referring to your dresser as your "work station."
If you’re looking to step it up a bit, or just want to get your home office set up with everything you need to conduct business at home, HP has you covered. You certainly don’t want to find yourself quarantined at home without the right equipment to do your job. We've tested many of HP's flagship products, from their different laptops to their computer mice. We've rounded up some of the very best HP home-office products, as well as great deals on essential accessories.
The best computers at HP
Our favorite Chromebook perfect for G-suite lovers
If you can get your work done in Google’s G Suite—Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Hangouts, Sheets, and Slides—then a high-quality Chromebook with Chrome OS could be the ideal investment. You’ll find that a lot of Chromebooks are comfortable to use and affordable, but HP’s Chromebook 11 is a top choice for both versatility and working from the couch.
The HP Chromebook 11 is our top pick for best laptop under $200. Whether you’re a remote worker in need of a backup laptop or a student looking for something to get by with while taking online classes, this is an incredible value. As long as you don’t need a lot of extra storage, this is the budget laptop you’re looking for.
This powerful computer built for Word
If you’re in the market for an affordable, lightweight notebook that runs Windows 10, the HP Stream 11 Pro G5 supports Office 365 and most other popular applications. It’s a great Chromebook alternative for freelancers and students who know that Chrome OS won’t quite cut it.
The Stream laptop is one of our favorites, but it's worth noting that since it runs Windows, it's slower than comparable Chromebooks. But for jobs and schools that demand Windows applications like Word, Power Point and Excel, the slow speed is worth the performance and the price.
A fast and powerful laptop for the tech lover
If money is no object—or your priorities include things like video editing and media streaming—the HP Spectre x360 is a 15-inch Windows 10 powerhouse with an NVIDIA GeForce GPU. This is one for the YouTubers, streamers, filmmakers, and artists in need of a machine that’s as reliable as it is portable.
The HP Spectre series produces powerful, fast, and high-quality laptops that our executive editor swears by. The 10th-generation Intel processor bolster laptop speeds, making it perfect for home office work.
The best accessories, monitors, and printers at HP
This mouse that's both gorgeous and functional
We named the HP x4000 the best affordable wireless mouse. The mouse’s internal AAs boast a two-and-a-half-year battery life; it also features a scroll wheel between the two buttons. Our testers found that it works well on most in-home surfaces, but not glass tabletops. It’ll set you back between $20 and $30, but we found that it's well worth the price for its value.

- Get the HP x4000 Wireless Mouse with Laser Sensor from HP for $31.99
Amazing monitors you can get on a budget
Need an extra monitor for a bigger display or more virtual workspace? HP sells all kinds of monitors, from gaming monitors to inexpensive ones you can set up at your kitchen table. HP makes two of our favorite monitors under $200, though right now, both are out of stock.
For a comparable monitor to one of our favorites, check out the HP Pavillion 32 32-inch Monitor, which is a larger version of the one we reviewed. Reviewers give it a near-perfect rating on the HP site, noting that it's quite large and has a sharp image perfect for picture-based work. Note that this one is pricy—nearly $400—so if you're looking for cheaper options, check out the smaller HP P204 19.5-inch Monitor, or the mid-sized HP Z22n G2 21.5-inch Display.
- Get the HP Pavillion 32 32-inch Monitor from HP for $399.99
- Get the HP P204 19.5-inch Monitor from HP for $60
- Get the HP Z22n G2 21.5-inch Display from HP for $165
An affordable printer that can help you print what you need
Our executive editor TJ just wrote about how he needed to buy a printer since moving to full-time work from home. He opted for the HP OfficeJet 3830 for its price and usability. The OfficeJet is perfect for any recreational printing, whether you're printing a document for a client or coloring pages for your children.
Alternatively, our smart home editor Sarah Kovac enjoyed her experience with the HP Tango X printer, which is an Alexa-enabled printer that's part toy, part office product. She described it as "incredibly smart," noting that it connected to the WiFi and printed from computers, phones, and even tablets. This is a great choice if you're working from home with kids and need a product that will keep them entertained as you work.

- Get the HP Tango X with Charcoal Linen Cover from HP for $199.99
One of the best pairs of noise canceling headphones
Bose makes one of our favorite pairs of noise canceling headphones. Our editor Kate Ellsworth swears by her Bose Quiet Comfort headphones, saying she wouldn't make it through the workday without them (especially now that she's sharing her office with her husband and two cats, all of whom make noise when they need attention).
These headphones have thousands of positive reviews from people across a variety of retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. In our testing, we found that the Bose did an incredible job at filtering out background noise and were comfortable to wear for several hours during the day.
