‘Tis the season of giving means ‘tis the season of buying. This means investing in things for other people. However, the fear of giving a parent an expensive tablet that will collect dust in a desk drawer, or giving a granddaughter a pricey necklace she’ll never wear, is real. But this fear doesn’t have to lead to gift cards or less expensive items. You can still invest in the people you love over the holidays and make the right choice at the same time.

Luckily, my Reviewed colleagues and I are here to help. All year long, we review and research products—a lot of them on the expensive side. If they don't own it already, an Apple Watch would be a fantastic gift for the one who is always on their iPhone. Gift them the gift of our favorite smartwatch so they can have all of their notifications, music, and texts at her fingertips all the time. When we tested smartwatches this year, the Apple Watch Series 4 was crowned the best of the best. We haven't tested the most recent version of the Apple Watch, the Series 5, but there's always that option too.

3. For the home chef: Staub Dutch Oven

You’ve probably heard of, seen, or owned a Le Creuset dutch oven. They are one of the most popular wedding gifts for newlyweds and, like KitchenAid stand mixers, a kitchen staple for adults everywhere. However, when we tested dutch ovens at Reviewed, our favorite overall was not Le Creuset—it was Staub! We're not the only ones loving this brand, either. 4. For the one who enjoys when people do things for them: The best robot vacuum of 2019

Keeping a clean home is a luxurious thing when you’re not the one cleaning it. That’s why robot vacuums were created. If you have a good one, it will do the work for you, and the more room you have to splurge, the harder it will work. The absolute best robot vacuum we've ever tested at Reviewed is the iRobot Roomba i7+ and let us tell you—it is an ultra splurge. This Roomba can empty its dirt bin all by itself and then continue vacuuming. It is is truly the most luxurious robot vacuum we've seen, and we're sure anyone you buy it for will like it, too. If you're looking to splurge on a budget, you can always consider getting our best affordable robot vacuum, the Eufy RoboVac 11s. While it's significantly cheaper than the Roomba i7+, it still costs over $200!

5. For the one who likes to keep warm: Canada Goose Coat

For someone who lives in a place where the temperatures plummet to freezing cold conditions for part of the year, there is nothing more luxurious than a winter coat that actually keeps you warm. Canada Goose jackets are expensive, but the down filled coats are temperature-rated for below zero weather—and they really do make cold winters bearable. I used to refuse to go outside unless I absolutely had to on cold days, but investing in this Canada Goose jacket totally changed that. It feels like I am wearing a warm blanket whenever I go outside, blocking the frigid temperatures from touching my skin. I recommend any without fur on the hood. My personal choice for women is the Gabriola in black (I own this one) or the Kinley. For men, the Forester is a great option.

6. For the working commuter: Sony 1000XM3 Noise Canceling Headphones

We love Sony’s Noise Canceling Headphones at Reviewed. In fact, the WH-1000XM3 are the best noise-cancelling headphones we've ever tested. If you know someone who gets easily annoyed by loud co-workers or lives for peaceful subway rides, this luxurious gift could be the answer to all of their first world problems.

Sure, AirPods may look bizarre when people wear them, but they’re wearing them for a reason. We deemed Apple’s cult-favorite headphones as the BEST true wireless earbuds when our experts originally tested them this year, and when the new AirPods Pro were recently released and we got to test them, we found them to be even better. If you’re shopping for a lover of all things Apple, they will adore a pair of these. Doubling as decor and something to keep you warm, throw blankets are great for everyone. It’s true what they say: You don’t know you’re in need of a good knife until you’re in need of a good knife. I’m just kidding. They don’t say that. But in my experience, it’s true. And isn’t luxury having everything you need at your fingertips? (I do not apologize for the knife humor). When we tested knife sets, this 18-piece set by Zwilling J.A. Henckels ended up being our favorite. It includes pretty much every knife you will ever need for a great price.

If you're looking to splurge on someone who is into fashion, consider a chic designer handbag. This particular Chloé bag is stylish, chic, and calling my name through its calfskin leather material. With 4.5 stars from over 150 happy people, you’ve got a winner here. For a smaller, crossbody bag, a fantastic option is Gucci’s GG Marmont 2.0 Bag. With a 4-star rating from just about 100 people, we can safely say this a trendy, well-made, stylish bag.

17. For the neat freak: Dyson Vacuum

Okay, so a vacuum might not scream 'luxury,' but attach the word 'Dyson' next to anything, and all of a sudden, you have a luxe product on your hands. If you're looking to splurge on someone who loves to clean, look no further than a Dyson stick vacuum. Our favorite vacuum, the Dyson V11 Torque, would make for the ultimate gift. If you're looking for a splurge that isn't as expensive, we also love the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute. I got a Dyson vacuum as a wedding gift, and it has been a game-changer. Both because it’s really good at cleaning, and because I feel extremely sophisticated owning a coveted Dyson product.

18. For the old-school business person: A personalized cross-pen

A luxurious pen? Bet you didn’t see this one coming. My husband is obsessed with cross-pens. He says, “a cross-pen that is personalized with someone’s initials or name is a classy, timeless gift for pen lovers.” I cannot provide you with any tips on finding out if you are in the presence of a pen lover, but I can tell you they make a great gift for such people.

19. For the fitness enthusiast: The Peloton Bike

Last year, I got the Peloton bike to test, and it was life changing. So much so that my husband and I bought it, leaving it to sit proudly in our living room and up a gigantic area of our small apartment, but we don’t care. We love it that much. The Peloton is a cycling bike with a tablet screen that displays live and on-demand classes. As a former Soul Cycle addict, I can tell you that after taking Peloton classes, I no longer consider Soul Cycle a legit workout. It’s a fun party compared to every single Peloton class I've ever taken. If you’re shopping for a fitness studio enthusiast and you're looking to go big, this is a perfect gift. You feel like you’re in a studio surrounded by others, but you’re AT HOME. And the whole family can use it. Working out does not get more luxurious than this.
