Your home is your sanctuary, the place where you (probably) spend the most time. But owning a home can also require a lot of upkeep: From mowing the lawn to managing the temperature, there are lots of moving parts to manage. Smart home innovations are a great solution that allow you to take a step back and focus on enjoying your home, not just taking care of it.
From unparalleled innovations to better versions of everyday equipment, we've rounded up our favorite home products of 2025.

Moen is one of the most trusted names in the kitchen and bath industry, according to designers and plumbers. That's largely thanks to the inherent quality of the parts, but the addition of a limited lifetime warranty on all faucets, showerheads, and sinks is what makes Moen truly stand out from its competition. With a reputation for great customer service, it's worth it to invest the extra money and opt for Moen.

The GE brand has been around nearly as long as most modern nations (133 years, but who's counting?) and has manufactured nearly every type of electrical home good you can think of. More importantly, they're still great at it. GE Appliances, which was acquired by Haier in 2016, continues a tradition of excellence and reliability in several categories. On this very list, we named GE as Best Air Conditioner and Best Dehumidifier, but the brand also appears in most of our top kitchen appliance roundups, too.

Lightweight yet durable, the Flexzilla garden hose, our 2025 winner, is still the best hose we've tested.
When we tested the Flexzilla, its smooth surface allowed it to move easily and freely around the yard, thanks to the hose's dual comfort grips. Although it did kink at times, the flexibility of this hose made it easy to right itself without any manual interference. While a standard hose is never as portable as its expandable counterpart, our tester had no issue transporting the Flexzilla, whether it was coiled or uncoiled. We were also impressed with the durability of the connectors and fittings. This bright green hose comes in lengths ranging from 3 feet to 100 feet, making it easy to find a suitable size for your needs.
Pros
-
Lightweight and flexible
-
Male and female ends have comfort grips
Cons
-
None that we could find

The GE Profile PHC08LY window air conditioner won due to its top-notch cooling capacity and stylish, elegant features. During testing, this 8,100-BTU window air conditioner reduced our 340-square-foot test area's temperature by 10°F in only 43 minutes. It lowered the room's humidity by 14% in the same amount of time.
Quiet Mode only puts out 49.3 dBA of sound—less noise than an average household refrigerator makes. With the GE appliances app, users can remotely control and schedule the GE Profile Series while monitoring its power usage and temperature settings. It's also the perfect addition to a smart home setup since it can be controlled and monitored via voice through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and IFTTT.
Pros
-
Powerful cooling
-
Very quiet
-
Smartphone and smart speaker compatible
Cons
-
None that we could find

While this portable dehumidifier is a bit hefty at 43 pounds, the build quality is impressive. It has earned the top spot on our list for the third year in a row.
Combining high-performance dehumidifying with simple controls and a helpful app, the GE AWYR50LC is a highly efficient dehumidifier that is an excellent addition to any home.
Pairing the device with GE's SmartHQ App offers a variety of control options, such as scheduling, remote settings adjustments, and even alerts to empty the reservoir bucket. (This is particularly useful in Always On mode in a damp area like a basement.) Additionally, the filter is easy to remove and replace, and the reservoir is designed to prevent splashing when the app notifies you that it's time to empty it.
Pros
-
Rapid dehumidifying
-
Excellent smart features
-
Sturdy build quality
Cons
-
Difficult to lift

The Levoit VeSync Classic 300S is a contemporary humidifier built for interconnected smart homes. This is one of those products that just doesn't have blind spots, which is why it topped our list for the second year in a row.
We measured a 29% increase in humidity while running the Levoit, the second-best score we've seen from any humidifier we've tested. Water fills the basin from the top, so you won't drench whatever surface the humidifier lives on.
The Levoit VeSync Classic 300S leverages useful smart skills; if it's connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Home, you can command the unit with your voice. Voice controls paired with an unobtrusive touch interface and no extra LEDs make this a great pick for a dry bedroom. With a reservoir that holds about two gallons of water, it will run for around two whole nights of sleep, or 16 hours straight.
Pros
-
High capacity
-
High output
-
Quiet
Cons
-
High Energy Usage

The model name of this brand-new Ecovacs lawn care innovation has us questioning just exactly what it means. G.O.A.T., like the NFL's Tom Brady, the greatest of all time, or perhaps more appropriately, an actual billy goat? We're betting on both.
As a robot lawn mower, the Goat A3000 is made to devour grass, 3,000 meters of it, with two disc-blade cutters, all while being able to drive inclines and declines with ease. Got a pool or a garden? No worries. Ecovacs tells us that its navigation technology is a triple threat, combining RTK sat-nav, lidar, and cameras on both the mower's front and back for incredible precision, which is exactly why it secured a spot on our winner's list for 2025.
Pros
-
Uses both LiDAR and camera technology for navigation
-
Handles slopes well
-
Great at edging
Cons
-
Only one cutting height

Beatbot, a leader in the robotic pool cleaning space, won us over with the AquaSense 2. The AquaSense 2 Pro is an impressive step up from the base model, as a 5-in-1 cleaner (adding surface cleaning and clarification) with up to 11 hours of surface cleaning. The AquaSense 2 Ultra tops the bill with AI-powered mapping, perfect for steps or complex pool shapes.
Innovation doesn't come cheap ($1,499, $2,499, and $3,450, respectively), but we loved the first-gen AquaSense and we're excited about what these can do.
Pros
-
Excellent navigation and cleaning
-
Cordless
-
Empties and floats to top for easy removal
-
Water clarification tech
Cons
-
Heavy
-
More expensive than its competition
The Pro takes capturing birds on film to another level, and the OG was already a step ahead of its competitors. After using it in our yard for about a month, we can confidently say that Bird Buddy's new Nature Cam 2, the proprietary camera used by Bird Buddy Pro, is the best on the market right now. We saw up to 11 different species in a single day, identified through the state of the art AI features.
We noticed the difference right away, with cleaner, clearer, and more detailed snaps that allow you to see feathers defined, precise color markings, even the individual seeds and nuts the bird is chomping on. It offers high dynamic range (the original does not), 2K video, and 5 megapixel resolution on stills. Its field of view is 122 degrees (original is 115 degrees), and it has a high-fidelity microphone to catch all the chirping, squawking, and bird conversation of your feathered friends.
Pros
-
HDR camera with larger focus range
-
High quality video
-
High-fidelity microphone
-
Metal hanger that works great
-
App available in 7 languages
-
Weatherproof
Cons
-
Solar roof option costs more

The Blueair Pure 311i Max is once again our top choice for the best air purifier. It keeps indoor air clean, covering spaces between 387 and 928 square feet using an ultra-quiet fan and HEPA filter. We love how lightweight and compact it is, making it easy to move around to different areas of a house or apartment, and the washable prefilter catches bigger particles like pet hair.
The smart app lets you tweak settings and set schedules so your air is fresh when you get home. While it's not the best for removing VOCs, it's fantastic for tackling smoke and other common household air pollutants at a fair price.
Pros
-
Excellent particle filtering
-
Extremely quiet
-
Simple controls and app
-
Washable prefilter
Cons
-
Unimpressive VOC filtering

The PurSteam SteamBurst+ smoothly slides across fabrics and excels at removing wrinkles quickly with little to no effort, which is why it won our award for best steam iron.
More specifically, we love how easy the controls are to read to easily find the right temperature settings for any fabric. The iron's large, 13.5-fluid-ounce water tank is one of the biggest of any iron we tested and easy to fill. The tank also does not leak, which is a nice, if surprising perk, as leakage is a common issue with other steam irons we tested.
Pros
-
Large water tank for large loads of ironing
-
Does not leak
-
Several steam level options
-
Feels good in hand
Cons
-
None that we can find

The Ego Power+ LM2135SP, a 21-inch self-propelled electric mower. This cordless mower with a cutting width of 21 inches utilizes a 56-volt lithium-ion battery to power through up to 60 minutes of lawn cutting, providing you with the convenience of uninterrupted mowing.
Among all the lawnmowers we've tested, the Ego Power+ stands out for its user-friendly features. It's a breeze to start and operate, with a handle that slides and folds for effortless storage. Adjusting it to your height is a matter of seconds. The battery charges in a quick 50 minutes, and the charger itself is equipped with a cooling fan that improves charging times and keeps the battery cool.
Pros
-
Environmentally friendly
-
Powerful
-
Comfortable handling
Cons
-
Pricey
-
Battery limits operation time

Although the Amazon Echo 4th Gen was first released in 2020, Amazon has yet to replace it and so it remains at the top of our list of best smart speakers. We love its simple ball shape and easy set up, and of course its compatibility with Alexa voice assistant.
When it comes to sound, it performs well, although the old Bose Home 300 had better quality. This Echo also has a temperature sensor, which means you can open the Alexa app and see what the temperature is in the room where the Echo resides.
Pros
-
Fantastic smarts
-
Supports Matter and Zigbee
-
Clear, relatively full sound
Cons
-
Distorts at top volume

The days of wandering aisles in the hardware store and Googling to try to find the perfect fit are long gone. The unique design of this toilet seat allows it to fit both elongated and rounded toilets, avoiding confusion and offering unparalleled convenience for users and plumbers alike.
There is front-to-back adjustability during installation and the fasteners slide, allowing the seat to move to more forward or rear positioning while never loosening after installation. At just $36, the universal fit is well worth the price tag.
Pros
-
Fits any toilet
-
Unique hinge system
-
Easy installation
Cons
-
Only comes in white color

It comes in three finishes and offers a few first-of-its-kind flairs, including a turn knob that you don't have to continually press to release and insulated construction that prevents the fixture itself from getting hot to the touch.
Beneath the sink, the faucet connects to a ⅔-gallon tank that allows you to fill up to 40 cups per hour and customize the water temperature to between 140°F and 190°F. We also found installation to be very easy—no plumbers necessary.
