When it comes to keeping up with (or upgrading) your look, it can feel overwhelming scrolling through social media or Reddit for reviews and suggestions, especially when fashion can be so subjective. After all, it isn't easy to nail an outfit in the same way Iris Apfel can. But we can try.

Instead of recommending only a handful of garments out of the millions around that illustrate fall's structured silhouettes or the best mimic of a '90s funnel neck—we know enough to leave that to the fashion folks at Vogue and WWD—we have stuck to wearable basics, like the most supportive workout bra, the best value workout leggings, the coziest slippers, and the sturdiest backpack.

Reviewed experts have been hard at work testing style staples. Wondering what we discovered? You certainly don’t need to sacrifice fashion for functionality. Some of your favorite brands are making it easier than ever to look and feel fly, thanks to designs that are comfortable, practical, and thoughtfully constructed.

Keep reading below to check out Reviewed’s top style picks for 2025.

Best Sports Bra
lululemon Energy High Support Bra

Canadian workout retailer lululemon is a fan-favorite for a reason, thanks to products like leggings, belt bags, and tanks that are designed to be flattering and functional. This lululemon sports bra is no different—it provides a clean, seamless look with some extra flair, thanks to its overlapping cross-back straps. Plus, it’s constructed with smooth, sweat-wicking nylon-elastane fabric and thin molded lining for additional coverage.

Our testers found the Energy bra to be incredibly supportive and comfortable, staying put even during high-impact workouts. This sports bra also features adjustable shoulder straps and a rib band so you can genuinely customize your fit.

Another bonus? It comes in tons of stunning colors (from strawberry milkshake to classic navy), band sizes 32 to 40, and B to DD cup sizes.

Best Workout Legging
Colorfulkoala 28-inch Buttery Soft Full-length Leggings

While our team loves lululemon, the brand's typical price tags can be a little off-putting—case in point, the Align leggings. Instead, we found and tested this pair from Colorfulkoala… which we discovered is a near-perfect dupe!

Colorfulkoala's versions are a fraction of lululemon's price, and almost as buttery as lululemon’s most popular leggings, thanks to their nylon/spandex material that provides a smooth feel and sweat- and odor-wicking abilities.

These 28-inch leggings fit snugly, offering comfortable support whether you’re practicing vinyasa, hitting cardio, or doing leg day. The Colorfulkoala leggings also arrive in over 30 shades, sizes ranging from XS to XL, and additional inseam lengths.

Best Travel Backpack
Pacsafe Venturesafe EXP45

If you’re looking for the ultimate backpack to bring along on your adventures, look no further than the Pacsafe EXP45. When we tested this backpack, we found plenty to love—at under four pounds, it is lightweight, not to mention water-resistant—thanks to its eXomesh fabric—and can hold up to 45 liters.

You might ditch all other backpacks for this one. Why? It’s designed with not one, but two zippers, and opens up like a standard suitcase (and offers compression straps) to make it easier to pack your goods, whether that’s your laptop, books, hand sanitizer (because planes can be gross!), or bulky clothing you couldn’t stuff in your checked bag.

Pros

  • Hidden, lockable zippers

  • Reasonably comfortable

  • Slash-resistant construction

Cons

  • Heavy

  • Narrow opening of some pockets

Best Backpack
The North Face Borealis

Outdoor enthusiasts aren’t the only people rocking North Face’s Borealis backpack—students are, too. It’s incredibly durable, handling both camping and classroom needs ideally. Of course, it looks pretty darn sleek both off and on duty, and it doesn’t hurt your shoulders during wear.

This backpack’s large compartment can store books, binders, and hiking boots comfortably, and there’s even a dedicated laptop compartment that can hold devices up to 15 inches long.

For even easier school (or hiking) packing, the Borealis comes with a stand-up design and additional features like a sternum strap, removable waist strap, and even a bungee compression strap system.

Best Sneaker
Nike Alphafly 3

There are plenty of reasons to love the Nike Alphafly 3 sneakers, but we’ll start with this pretty cool fact: These are the running shoes Kelvin Kiptum wore when he broke a world record and won the 2023 Chicago Marathon!

While we can’t guarantee you’ll break any world records wearing the Alphafly 3, we can say these are easily the best carbon-plated running shoes you can buy. This feature is ideal for long-distance runners because the carbon fiber plate in the midsole can help reduce fatigue and boost energy return.

Other noteworthy design features we loved are their lightweight design, super springy cushioning, and redesigned outsole for extra traction.

Pros

  • Smooth heel-to-toe transition

  • Stable

  • Breathable and lightweight

  • Great for distance runners

Chippewa 55025 Hador Steel Toe Boots

Looking for work boots that don’t give up, ever? Meet the Chippewa 55025 Hador steel-toe boots, the only shoes you’ll need to complete construction, roofing, or carpentry jobs.

These work boots are designed with heavy-duty leather and steel safety toes that meet ASTM standards for impact and compression, plus soles that offer electrical hazard protection. We were especially wowed by these Chippewa work boots’ traction, and found they prevented us from slipping, even at tough angles.

In addition, these work boots are just as comfortable as they are protective, featuring high, supportive arches, ample ankle stability, and a steel shank that lets you stay on your feet all day long without cramping or pain.

L.L. Bean Men's Venetian Wicked Good Slippers

L.L. Bean is synonymous with cozy, comfortable slippers, and these Venetian shearling slippers are ‘wicked good.’ Not only are these designed with high-quality materials like sheepskin and lamb's fur to keep your toes toasty warm even when it’s freezing out, but they’re just fluffy enough to keep your feet in place.

We tested these L.L. Bean slippers by wearing them for 10 hours straight, and we found (to our delight!) that these don’t cause any moisture or odor buildup, thanks to the wool lining’s naturally antimicrobial properties.

What's another reason these are our favorite men’s slippers? Their Venetian-style upper is constructed with soft, pliable sheepskin, meaning that consistent wear will give it a distinct lived-in look over time.

Pros

  • Soft sheepskin upper

  • Warm lamb fur lining

  • Look better with age

Cons

  • Fit runs wide/large

  • Hand-wash only

Ugg Scuffette II

While you might immediately think of the infamous Y2K boot when you think of Ugg, don’t sleep on this brand’s slippers. We tried the Scuffette II, which we found felt just like a warm, fluffy hug for our feet.

Not only do we love how cozy these slippers are, but we appreciate that Ugg doesn't skimp on the wool lining. We gave the Scuffette II bonus points because, despite having plenty of fluff, it doesn't cause the dreaded foot sweat we experienced after testing other brands' slippers.

The Scuffette is also designed with functionality and style in mind, offering a slide-on for easy wear, extra wool at the collar of the slipper to keep your feet warm, even during peak winter, and a rubber outsole for cushioned wear.

Pros

  • Stylish

  • Plenty of fur lining

  • Comfortable to wear

Cons

  • No instructions on how to clean

Best Hiking Pant for Men
Nike ACG Smith Summit Men's Cargo Pants

What’s not to love about the Nike ACG Smith Summit cargos? Not only were they designed with Smith Rock as inspiration (this Oregon state park has stunning trails and views, by the way!), but they’re also designed with sustainable materials. These straight-leg cargo pants are made with recycled nylon, which offers lightweight, loose, and durable wear so you can rock climb, hike, fish, or scale mountains without losing movement.

For extra functionality, the Smith Summit cargos come with large pockets (with zippers so your belongings don’t fall out), a carabiner for your keys, a water-repellant finish, and easy adjustments with the fast-release G-hook buckle and drawcord.

And, of course, these cargo pants have a zip-off design so you can turn them into shorts—perfect if you get too hot on the trail.

Eddie Bauer Women’s Guide Pro Pants

Here’s another pair of hiking pants that our testers loved: Eddie Bauer’s Guide Pro pants. This mid-rise is the ideal combination of practicality and comfort, arriving with a water-repellant finish, a lightweight design with two-way stretch, and even UPF 50+ for additional sun protection.

No hiking pants are complete without handy pockets—and this Eddie Bauer pair doesn’t disappoint. Two built-in thigh pockets with zippers are perfect for stashing energy tablets, snacks, and other outdoor necessities.

And if you’re eco-conscious, you’ll love that the Guide Pros are bluesign-approved. What’s that mean? These pants have met rigorous standards of production and passed, meaning they’re made responsibly, safely, and with the impact of people and the planet in mind.
