Thanksgiving is one week from today—are you ready? If you’re new to hosting, it may be tough to figure out exactly what tools you'll need, which recipes you’re going to cook and how much you'll actually need to feed your gaggle of guests.
Thankfully, your prayers have been answered by some of our favorite meal kits offering Thanksgiving dishes direct to your door.
One is the HelloFresh Thanksgiving Box, which features Thanksgiving favorites that feed up to 10 people—with just four hours of preparation time. We tested the Thanksgiving service last year and found that the recipes were simple to follow and the resulting dishes were delicious.
HelloFresh is already one of the best meal kit delivery services we’ve ever tested, so it’s no surprise that the food was great. Although they may not compare to your family’s long-honored traditional Thanksgiving dishes, they sure save a bit of the stress for a small or first-time gathering—and you’ll still have plenty of leftovers.
You can order the full Turkey + Sides Box for $159, or $15.20 per serving plus $6.99 shipping. There’s also a Beef Tenderloin + Sides Box that feeds up to six people for $139 (or $22 per serving plus shipping) if you want to swap the turkey for steak. Depending on who you are, this may be negligible compared to what you typically spend on Thanksgiving.
This year, side dishes include ciabatta stuffing, creamy mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce, with an apple ginger crisp for dessert.
Today is the last day to place an order, so visit HelloFresh to secure your Thanksgiving feast.
If you don’t want a full box from HelloFresh, you can also grab select Thanksgiving dishes from our favorite meal kit, Home Chef. Through the end of the week, you can purchase a turkey breast roast, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, or creamed corn all direct from the Home Chef website.
The turkey roast is available for $50, and the sides cost $24.96 per pair. All dishes serve up to six people. While we haven’t tested these specific Thanksgiving meals from Home Chef, we’re regularly impressed by the service’s other high-quality meals.
